The Firestone FS561 commercial truck tire is recommended primarily for steer tire applications in regional haul service and pickup and delivery service, however is commonly used on trailers as well. The Firestone FS561 tire features a special tread compound and a solid shoulder rib that protect against irregular wear and extends the overall tire life, giving the FS561 staying power in environments where stone drilling and rib tearing are regular occurrences. Stone ejector nubs are added to the center grooves to help provide resistance to stone drilling and protect belts for enhanced casing durability. There are also sidewall protector ribs to protect the casing from cuts, snags and abrasions due to curbing and impacts.
